Kate MacLeod is a gifted neo-traditional Americana musician whose original songs and instrumentals blend honesty, melody, and drive across fiddle, guitar, and Appalachian dulcimer. Praised by SingOut! for channeling the spirit of Carter Family classics, she also brings a youthful energy reminiscent of icons like Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris. Her current projects include reimagining songs by folk legend Jean Ritchie, and her work has been featured on major radio shows and documentaries worldwide. Beyond performing, Kate teaches songwriting and fiddle workshops and supports peace and social justice causes through her music and activism.
